| I entered university
in my early 20's, first studying languages, then Fine and
Performing Arts. I will always remember one of my theatre
instructors asking me if I had ever considered becoming
a painter. Three years after my graduation, and working
as a set designer for theatre and opera productions, I finally
took that suggestion to heart. At the age of 27, I began
to paint in earnest, creating large-scale figurative works.

| In 2002 I moved
to Montréal where I began to work on tiny canvases.
A whole new level of layering and creating texture emerged,
one that continues to evolve in my art practice to this
day. I am primarily an oil painter, though I do use many
other media in the creation of my images. |

| I
returned to the west in 2004, where I set up my studio on
the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada, which I
share with my wonderful partner ZoD, a talented composer
and musician. It is a large, creative space, featuring 12’
ceilings and surrounded by the lush beauty of where we live.
We feel truly grateful to be one another’s muse and
to live in this corner of Paradise. |

| I
have been guiding people since 1993, initially as an Astrologer,
and now as a Professional Life Guide. This deeply rewarding
work has allowed me the privilege of using my ability to
see people for who they are in a way that has empowered
and inspired them to live life more fully. I came into this
world knowing how powerful and free I am. My work as a Guide
has given me an amazing opportunity to remind people of
that profound, core truth, and to give them tools to facilitate
their unfoldment to greater joy. |
| When
I first began to paint, it was to give voice to the intensity
of my own healing process. My intention with this earlier
body of work was to reveal that place inside me, and to
create a connection, and a springboard for transformation,
with others. Over the years, my painting has become more
of a dance, with a lighter, even freer feeling. I am grateful
for this avenue of expression and how it has grown to reveal
the lushness, expansiveness, and beauty of the human spirit.
How magnificent that I am alive. |
